  5. 5. What does VAT stand for?

When goods or services are purchased, it is required to pay a VAT (Value Added Tax) or GST (Goods and Services Tax). In some cases, the price of the product is inclusive of VAT. Depending upon your location of residence, VAT can be usually reclaimed or addressed in a specific manner; however, this element is not applicable in the Middle East. We recommend that you get in touch with the seller to check whether VAT would apply to your purchase. Further, you may notice a lower price on some products when compared to prices in Asia or the U.S. This is primarily due to the location and the element of VAT.
  6. 6. Does the product price include the VAT element?

We pride ourselves on offering a clear and transparent pricing system so there is no ambiguity in the purchase process. As a practice, many of our products do not include the VAT or Sales Tax element as we believe this will aid you in comparing prices and products in a more effective manner. However, this may not be possible for all products. For example, in Europe, sellers include the VAT in the published price as it is required by law to do so. The price of certain products such as boats may specifically indicate whether the VAT has been exempt, unpaid or paid. You may notice that some European products have a higher price when compared to prices in Asia or the U.S. and this is primarily due to the VAT element. We recommend that you contact the seller to get more details on whether VAT applies to your purchase.
  7. 7. What does P.O.R stand for?

P.O.R is an acronym for Price On Request. For certain products, the dealer or the seller may have opted to keep the price confidential due to privacy reasons. In such cases, the buyer can directly contact the seller to find out the price of the product.
